Read the FAQ on how to create a new prefix.

Inside the new prefix you will have a clean slate no installed
applications and no msi. I leave the discussion to others about wine
explorer because I do not use that.

A regression test would help:

Is this msi from winetricks that's broken? Can you point to a sample msi?

nothing
when i type for example : wine msiexec creator.msi (its a msi file for mobipocket creator)
it just shows the command line options for msi installer in a gui window and nothing in the terminal

and when i try winetricks and select for example msxml4 ,it shows the command line option for msi installer again and winetricks gives an error
:Winetricks error: Note: command 'wine msiexec /i /home/reza/.winetrickscache/msxml4.msi' returned status 103. Aborting.

i think wine thinks i have another msi installation that is running because when i type "wine msiexec /unregister" it says

"Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install"

Odds are all the fiddling left an installation incomplete or somehow
else botched the settings.

A clean prefix is your best bet. That's why it's good practice to use
a different prefix for each application.

rename the current .wine to .wine_old

reset any menu items for installed applications to .wine_old

then run winecfg and you should have a new clean prefix for additional
installs...

The WINEPREFIX environmental variable.
what is a prefix?
Where wine stores its settings/files.
does that mean i would have many .wine folders?
sortof, you'd have them named different things, but yes.

There was a launcher under construction. I don't know its status.

However, the name for different wine prefixes is to call them bottles
(Wine does come in them.)

If you want a program with a nice GUI interface and are willing to pay
for it, there is CrossOver for Linux/Mac.

However, if you don't want to go that way, you can do this:

WINEPREFIX=$HOME/my_new_wine_prefix wine <your installation program goes
here>

from the directory for your program.

Then you can invoke the program by typing in:

WINEPREFIX=$HOME/my_new_wine_prefix wine 'C:\Program Files\<installation
directory of your program>\<program name>.exe

This should run your program.
