Does starcraft 2 run easily? Oblivion? and potentially DoTA2?
I know it might be difficult to answer about the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but since I think you guys know your sh***. I thought you'd might have an idea

It is difficult to know whether an unreleased game will work.fluffy wrote:Hello! I'm considering to get Linux on my computer, and do you guys think it would be reasonable easy to start up skyrim at the release date without TOO much work?
Don't know. See http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... &iId=11123Does starcraft 2 run easily?
Yes. I played Oblivion for a long time using wine, works well.Oblivion?
no idea, not release yet, so who knows..and potentially DoTA2?
It's not really surprising that Starcraft 2 runs badly. It's a cpu bound game already, and on top of that is the direct3d > opengl conversion. Many of the CPUs listed in the appdb are AMD btw, which are slow even on windows for this game.Mateusz Stachowski wrote:
StarCraft 2 for now is unplayable. Even on the most powerful computers you will get 15 to 30fps (which is totally uplayable and unacceptable). If you look in AppDB you will also find over a dozen bug reports related to that game.
