Re: Debugger enabled
It mean's the game's DRM is mistaking Wine for a debugger. Did you upgrade either Wine or the game recently?mikon29 wrote: iam using Kubuntu 12.04 with wine version 1.4. If you did not update wine or your system other than the update of theNo i don't update wine or install other applications this is the only windows game i using with wine. So that means the game don't works anymore?

I would make a clean prefix and reinstall the game and avoidso i cannot bypass this message? Should i use windows now to play the game?
installing game updates (assuming that is indeed the source of the
breakage).

Then it probably is a regression in wine.i forgot to say i upgrated from Kubuntu 11.10 to 12.04 today. Sience i am using this new kubuntu version 12.04 the message appears with the debugger.

That means that during the wine development new addition to wine brokeWhat is a regression? I don't understand this word
old functionality. Normally people would ask you to build wine from
source and track back the change to the source commit that broke wine
for you however I see that for you this will be a difficult task.

What version did Kubuntu 11.10 have? I assume it was 1.3.XAh ok. I try with the wine version 1.4 and 1.5.2 but the same. Don't works.

That's a far cry from not changing anything--you've actually changed pretty much everything.mikon29 wrote:i forgot to say i upgrated from Kubuntu 11.10 to 12.04 today. Sience i am using this new kubuntu version 12.04 the message appears with the debugger.
It could be a regression in Wine, as John suggests, but it could also be some other change in the environment. One possibility is a different gcc version being used to compile the Wine packages for 12.04; some forms of copy protection are known to break under certain gcc versions.
Start by figuring out the exact version of Wine that last worked for you under 11.10, and test it under 12.04. If it works, it's a regression in Wine; if it doesn't, it's some other change in your system.

Why not just put Kubuntu 11.10 back and resist the urge to upgrade.Hello,
no chance with wine 1.3,1.4 eg nothing works.
A debugger has been found running in your system. Please, unload it from memory and restart your program.
so it seems i have to install windows again ;(
