I can't find samiliar issue in Google, so I am asking here.
First of all y system config:
Gentoo x86_64 2.6.35-r8 kernel
Nvidia 9800 GTS
260.90.06

When I run SC.exe receive followed error:

I just installed the game this morning and it works flawlessly. I have a similar system to yours.

Which version do you have? Can you try again in a clean prefix?

Yes, I tried clean prefix, same result. Also tried another game releaser distribution. All same.
