Please help with advise on wine storage

I bought a bottle of red wine from my home outside the UK.
..... Should I be worried?
For once an easy Wine question.

If the wine was bought 'fresh' from the vintner and is a half decent wine you should have no problems with a couple of weeks storage at elevated temperatures, a couple of months and it will be a different answer.

Hi everyone,

I have a small problem. I bought a bottle of red wine from my home outside the UK. It is a gift for a professor who I much admire. Unfortuately I have not been able to get to her office in the last month so I had to store the wine in my bedroom. It is in a box etc and of course I am storing it lying down however I am worried that with the current weather of having 20 - 25 degrees outside in the last 1 -2 weeks, the wine might be gone off now. I would like to give this as a gift but of course I don't want to give a gone off bottle. Should I be worried?
Simple answer, you are going to have to give a go. Sadly, it may have
gone vinegary by now. Reds however, are more tolerant of heat and
should be stored at 58F. 68-75 may not have hurt it but it is best to
keep it in a cool location. BTW, there is a store (or was one) with
that temp in its name here. Good wines, high prices.

Now back to our regularly scheduled discussion on Wine is not an
Emulator, Windows32 and Windows64 API for UNIX/Linux...
