Hi there. I got a problem with good old Dune2000. Installing works fine and the game starts too. After a few minutes of fine gameplay (2-5 minutes ) the game freezes. Before the game freezeses, the cursor runs kinda too fast. It rotates like crazy but the game works normal. Any ideas?
I'am using Linux Mint Helena 8 and Wine 1.2 (now rc 5). And yes, I patched the game to version 1.6 .

I did not noticed the cursor behavior, but I got exactly the same
freeze. I will try to run a regression test.

Please read bug #20380 and bug #15195. This sounds to be the same
problem. It seems that last known working version is 1.1.30.
Can you please confirm ?

2.6.31-14-generic. How do I update it? [Question]
Probably with your package manager. I don't know your system.
I confirm that the game does not crash with wine-1.1.30.
My kernel version is also 2.6.31. I will update it soon to test this
issue.

Nope. Only the 2.6.31. Too bad Isodora 9 got only 2.6.32. I'll be waiting then
The game does not crash with kernel 2.6.31 patched with commit
a27341cd5fcb7cf2d2d4726e9f324009f7162c00 from kernel.org. So, yes,
crash fixed with kernel 2.6.34.

Ahhh what [Shocked] ? I'am still kinda a rookie with Linux. Don't
know what the fuck to do.
You can explain the problem and ask for help to upgrade your kernel
on the forums of your distribution [1], or ask the developers to apply
this patch against your current kernel [2].
