Can't find installed software

Post by Spitfire777 »

Hi,

i have two problems with wine:

First, i can't find my installed software on Wine. I've installed Photoshop Portable, started it and everything worked fine.
But now i can't find the directory of Photoshop, i looked at C:\Programme (German version) where i actually installed the folder and there ist nothing...

But if i start the setup of PS again i see photoshop already installed! In setup launcher i see that the PhotoshopPortable-Folder under C:\Programme is still existing.

Second, the font quality is very bad in wine. Font is almost unreadable in some locations. Is there a font fix existing?

make sure your looking in the right place.. if you have multiple prefixes. the default is ~/.wine where you should find a drive_c folder and installs.

For font smoothing, there are registry settings, but its easiest to quickly use the font smoothing options in Winetricks.

Photoshop should be in $HOME/.wine/drive_c/Programme (or Program\ Files).

Look there.

It will NOT be in the C:\ drive of your Windows install (and should NOT be.)
