X3: The Reunion

Hi All ..

I'm new to the whole gaming on Wine thing and i am trying to get X3: The Reunion to work on the latest version of wine.

Everything seems to install ok, but the only problem is that the ingame movies wont play and there is no voice sound.

Has anyone managed to get this game to work properly ?

You could try winetricks allcodecs... It might fix both audio and video issues as it will install all "normal" Windows audio/video codecs that the game might be using.

Hi DaVince

I have just tried to install allcodecs and i get an error

err:module:find_forwarded_export function not found for forward 'msvcrt.__CppXcptFilter'

I have tried the install as Native & Builtin and i still get this error

I tried your suggestion and installed allcodecs without an issue, but still i dont get any ingame movies or speech
