Removing winetricks

Post by Dpld »

Hi all,

In order to solve a problem with a specific application I am installing WMP10 via winetricks (or better, trying to install, as the GUI of the installer is seriously broken...). Is there a convenient way for uninstalling that, or other winetricks apps and libraries, if at some point in the future I decide to get rid of them?

Wine's uninstaller is sort of broken.

winetricks keeps its downloaded zipfiles in a separate folder. There is no need to delete them as they are merely installers. The link should give you the info you need.

Uninstalling in Wine is not so reliable.

The usual way to start things afresh is to start over in a different
WINEPREFIX. (The Wine equivalent of reinstalling Windows, but a lot
less painful.)
