Hi, I am fairly new to Ubuntu, and would like to play Warcraft 3: FT on Battle.net with some friends.
However, I am bogged down by all the stuff on the AppDB page, and don't know exactly what I'm doing. Can someone simplify this for me, I just want to install the game and play it.

At the top of the page you should see AppDB. Click on it. In the search box type "Warcraft 3" and read the results.
It looks like Warcraft 3 works best with wine version 1.1.38. Download the source for this version, build and install, then run the warcraft cd with wine. That should be all that is needed.
