OpenGl Problem Mac snow leopard

Post by tim-m »

Hello :)

i have a small question: I installed wine on my mac osx snow leopard 10.6.2. Everything was fine, and i could even play counter-strike (steam) without any problems. However I try to play Anstoss 3 (is in the appdb as well) it says:

"err:wgl:is_extension_supported No OpenGL extensions found, check if your OpenGL setup is correct!"

The game starts, but after the intro it crashes and I can only hear the music in the background. I do not understand this problem, because counter-strike also works with opengl.

What could be the problem?

:)

Try installing X11 from MacPorts as well. This is a more advanced version than what shipped with Snow Leopard.

You will have to rebuild Wine after doing so.

Yes, we have solutions, but did you take time to look through the forum for prior questions on this exact subject?

I sent you the 'answer' from reading through several past posts on this problem.

That is very much off topic here, but is very much on the MacPorts
fora. Please ask there how to install X11/Xorg and you should receive
plenty of help.

If you still experience problems after upgrading, you are free to come
back and advise that you did so and are experiencing difficulties.
Please do expect to be asked to run your program from the command line
and provide logging files.

type in "sudo port install xorg"
Then look in your applications folder under MacPorts. You'll find a brand spanking new X11 there.
