Hi
After upgrading 0.9.59 to 0.9.60 there is no links under Wine>Programs
Just the Accessories folder with Notepad. When I reinstall the programs they are not showing up. Under the user folder (windows/profiles/<user>)/Start Menu/Programs) their is program links to my installed program but they is that as said gone under Linux menu...Any thoughts?
Application links gone!!
Re: Application links gone!!
What distro? Have you used menu editor to alter/remove those "links"?Mattias Ellerot wrote:Hi

Usually where links are being created in one version of Wine and not of the other it's a sign that the installation did not complete properly. I usually use the console to directly launch the program and when it had been opened, Gnome is creating a Link under a new group named "program files" (and not Wine) if the program had been installed there.
Links used by Gnome are usually found under .config/menus/applications merged and .local/share/applications (under Suse)

In Ubuntu the latest wine installs to "Other Programs" I think. It moved from previous versions. Just move up a few spots in your applications menu.
Sorry for the vagueness. I'm booted into XP right now because City Of Villains doesn't work in Wine 0.9.60 / Ubuntu 8.04 now and I really don't feel like futzing with it.
