Install a with program multiple CDs on Wine, with a Mac
I want to install a game on my computer, i got wine and all, i built it from this tutorial but now i cant install the game, i put in a CD with out ~cd, and the startup runs great until it asks for the next CD, after this the computer wont let me eject it while X11 is running, meaning it stops half way, how do i get around this.

Anybody else have this problem?
Multiple install disks
My box will let me take the disk out, but when I put the next one it it just sits there. (it is mounting it as I can see it, but the install just stalled)
it will mount it to a new folder in /Volumes ... which means the CD drive link in your wineprefix dosdevices is probably wrong... this works ok with some installs and not others... its easiest on installs that ask you to insert the disc and let you locate it if not found... ones that are hard coded to be in the same exact spot.... well sometimes I've had to mount the disc by hand in terminal with the same exact mount name.
see if you can run winecfg while its asking for the other disc and make sure the same exact drive letter you were using before is linked to the new CD correctly... or you can do it manually with symlinks in the dosdevices folder. May not help, but worth a look.

I've been having the same issue.
Is there a way to suggest this feature officially? I've tried all kind of things with my copy of Adobe Creative Suite, to no avail.
Some people say to just press the eject button, and the disc will come out, which, obviously, doesn't happen, because it says that wineserver is currently using the drive. If I do "wine eject", it will successfully eject the disc, but the installation package won't recognize the second disc once inserted. I've tried all what's been mentioned, and given I only have like two months tinkering with Ubuntu, I can't do MUCH more. I'm starting to be a frustrated newbie.
Anyways, I hope is there a way to officially report/suggest this.
Thanks in advance for your support!

Read the FAQ. There is more to do than just 'wine eject' if you areI've been having the same issue.

Re: Install a with program multiple CDs on Wine, with a Mac
Hi all, I'm trying to install Soldier of Fortune 2, which has 2 disks (mounted as images) . The installation begins well with the first one, but when I have to put in the 2nd wine doesn't allow me to do it. I can't chose the 2nd CD from the setup, it just asks for the 2nd.
Previously I've set on winecfg the 2 drivers of the disks (D: and E:), I've Showed Advance and ticked CD-ROM for both of them.
I have read the FAQ, expecially wine eject.
I've tried to write the commands the eject/unmount a volume in the terminal (and I've also tried to open another terminal when the installation asks for the 2nd disk).
I've tried to do everything I've read on wikiwine, but the setup is stucked on the 2nd disk demand and I can't proceed.
Thanks everybody
