Can't enter Cd key

My friend and i have had this problem with a few games like with F.E.A.R were the cd key is 4 chars between each hyphen 1234-5678-9012 but when it prompts for the cd key it only allows us to enter 3 chars not sure if other have had this problem but if so please let us know how to fix it

IIRC, try native comctl32.
