Wine worst every time. More Bugs:

Post by zcully »

I'm sorry but I will not make an account for every thing. Take note if you want:

Programs as eMule (emule original) doesn't work now, with the lastest version of Wine.

If you want to be helpful, you might just tell more information, like
eMule version,
what does not work, ... and possibly file a bug in Bugzilla.

You could also help make Wine better: http://www.winehq.org/contributing

Some terminal output would help. A regression test however would be
much better. Just saying an application no longer works is no help at
all.

DVDShrink  NOW with lastest wine, doesn´t work.
When you say latest wine you are talking about 1.1.26 and not some
other older version?

The lastest eMule versión of the original eMule.
It you have not been told this, please file bug reports. There may be existing reports as well that need to be voted on so that the development team can look at and work them.

Posting a series of messages in the Wine User forum WILL NOT get these bugs fixed.

You might want to try some native Linux utilities like aMule and dvd-rip, if you don't wish to post more informative testing output for those apps that don't work with Wine.

Just saying it doesn't work and that you aren't willing to spend any of your own time (creating bug/app accounts) to fix it is not going to inspire anyone to spend their time helping you.

eMule 0.49b, Wine 1.1.26, works just fine for me. It connects, it searches,
it downloads and uploads.
No DLL overrides, no tweaks. I'd say it's Platinum as it was.
Didn't try to install into clean prefix, though.
