Aion & Gameguard

Hello everyone

The Aion release date is next month: www.aiononline.com and as far as I know it uses the gameguard anti-cheat tool (or whatever that is) and it does not work within wine yet: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3952 & http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... &iId=16284

How are the chances the game and/or gameguard will work in wine in the future ?
I would really like to play this game in wine and so do many others most likely

None. It's a rootkit which will never work on Wine.

Developers are stupid because they put that on every game, if customers knew what rootkit can potentially do they would never install the game on their machine. Also it does not even pretend so good. You can always decompile the client to trick that gameguard is running. And then run your own gameguard update server. Tho its illegal.
