fixme:heap:RtlCompactHeap (0x110000, 0x0) stub

Post by tola »

Hello!

I'am a new Linux-User and I try to install ELOOFFICE on my Ubuntu 9.0.4. For this purpose I loaded the Package of Eine 1.1.21 (but I tesed the official Version too).
The Installation of ELOoffice runs without Problems. But when I run ELO ist crashes after the Login-Screen.
When I start the Application tyoing on the ConsoleI get the followin Error Messages:

Try with native comctl32. Install it using 'winetricks comctl32': http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks

THANKS A LOT!
It works now. The application starts. It was small download, but a big step for solving my Problem.
There is another problem with a Treecontol in ELOOFFIC. I have to do some further experiments...

Please file a bug so we can fix it in builtin comctl32.

There is no need to create duplicates. There are enough bugs like that in bugzilla already.

And there is no guarantee the bug is caused by the same root problem either.

Most likely it is - the bug in image list that improperly grows internal image. Too bad the patch for it didn't make it in.

Rather than saying a bug already exists, providing a link would be helpful.

Further problems with comctl32.dll

Post by tola »

Hello!

I have a Problem with comctl32.dll. In ELOOffice the user interface contains a toolbar and a treeview. After I was able to start the Application with the new comctl32.dll (loaded with winetricks) I tried to open a Node in the treeview. From this moment I get a big amount of Errormessages (wrong addresses...). But the Application dosen't crash.
For a test I replaced the downloaded Dll wtih that one I found in my original Windows Installation. The result: The treewiew works now, but the toolbar looks very strange. I seer the normal Icon behind a arrow-like "mask"-shape. Apart from that the Program works fine.

Can someone explain the comctl32.dll-Problem? Is this an Wine-Bugzilla-worth Bug? (I'am a Wine -Beginner and I don't want to write wrong Error-Messages)

Don't report any bugs that caused by using native dlls.

If you replaced a part of Wine with native dll (dll from windows) it's not guaranteed to properly work on Wine.

OK.

But the Wine buildin comctl32.dll dosn't work with ELOoffice. Is there an other solution insted of replace the dll withe native one? Have I to report my problem as bug or not?

Delete ("reinitialize"?) your current wineprefix (the place where all Wine stuff + installed apps are stored) by removing ~/.wine. Or set up a clean wineprefix (by adding WINEPREFIX=foldername in front of your wine command). Then run your application. Whatever it outputs now is not related to any DLL overrides (because there aren't any anymore) so you can safely report a bug with the terminal output / crash data you get.

Yes, you do need to report your problem with _builtin_ comctl32 only. Do not report any bugs related to native dlls.

Give us a suitable bug number so the OP can log on and vote for it.
