I was responding to a post on this list, not the winehq.org web site,
and the list doesn't come with a search button.

Also, the winehq.org posts (yours above and
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8287) don't match my experience
with Irfanview. I am using ver. 4.10 on my Mac (Tiger) with wine and it
works fine (beyond the "usual" X11 quirks). In fact, it works a bit
faster than when running on a WinXP virtual machine on my Mac (VMWare).
I have found that the newest version of Irfanview (4.23?) does not work
on my system, so I am continuing to use 4.1. wine.

The forum and wine-users mailing list are linked, hence the confusion.

That said, you should've searched winehq first, especially the AppDB.
