Font displays wrong symbol on mathcad

Post by bubbadong »

Hi, i am trying to run Mathcad 15 on wine version wine-8.0 (Debian 8.0~repack-4)
i followed this https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager. ... owAll=true to install
I also ran winetricks allfonts
the problem is there are some math symbols that are not displaying correctly, I assume its a problem with the fonts. but I dont know what specific font is this supposed to be
In the attachment you can see these strange symbols, they are supposed to be the +,- and := symbols

Any pointers welcome
edit: Apparently the font being used to display the math symbols is webdings, but as you can see thats gibberish

Wine 8.0 is very old. The latest release is 10.12.

If you're using Winetricks then allfonts might be a dummy verb, depending on which version you have (and if I've understood the comments correctly).

You could try corefonts, but I would update Wine and install fresh first.
