Wine is just simply not working properly for me?

Wine wont show me hidden files (even after turning on show dot files in winecfg) and when an installer creates a directory, it doesn't actually show up in /.wine/drive_c. It's clearly creating it *somewhere* because at the end of the installer it will launch the app perfectly fine, and trying to use WINEDEBUG in the CLI doesn't seem to give me anything because it starts putting a bunch of lines out and then stops doing anything at all. I'm on Bazzite 41, KDE Plasma, Wayland display server. Please let me know if you need any extra log files, I'm very new to using Linux so I don't really know what logs to get or even how to get them.

The hidden files are not shown, if you don't use ctr-h as usual.
Have you tried that?

I tried KDE Plasma but I gave it up. It seems to make too much interference for the wine project to work properly.
Ubuntu 22.04 works fine for me.
