Trying to figure out how to get Cloud/internet connection to Clip Studio Paint

Post by Zaks0linux »

For the past couple of days now, I have download some application using Bottles so that I can use them on my Linux computer (Ubuntu 24.04), the current application I am working on in this case is Clip Studio Paint. I have so far managed to get the application itself to work fine, but wanted to be able to download assets that I would normally use for my art process and tried to see if I could get the application to connect to the site so that I could download the assets I wanted. there were people telling me to simply run a VM or duel boot to run clip or if I really wanted to use clip on Linux, simply copy and paste them to the file that was on my Linux partition, but didn't want to resolve to that just yet if I could manage to get it to work on Linux, but I digress.

The issues I am trying to fix in regards to the application I am running on bottles is simply, it doesn't properly connect to the site, It shows the web page on my computer just fine, but doesn't seem to do anything if I try to download the assets that I am looking for. Application wasn't working so I thought I could try to download it through the website, which allows me to select the application that I want to download the assets on, but that doesn't seem to work either and have no clue how to get it to work.

after looking around in the terminal when running bottles, I found this error which MAY be the cause to my problem, but not quite sure.

I believe this may be the issue to my problem, as it would explain why nothing is happening when I click on this download link, However it could also be that downloading assets of the net for this application is simply is not supported on linux.

Can anyone guide me to solve this issue, or maybe any other methods I could use to sort this out?
