When I install windows application; it says low disk space. Please help me i want to install many software and it is not allowing to even install a 50 MB software.

How much free disk space do you actually have?

I have 2 GB of free space already there. I am using VMwere on windows Xp. And Installed latest Ubuntu on it.

I found what is problem but please help me to solve it.
I instaled ubuntu on Vmware and its partition size is 6 GB. 4.18 Gb is ubuntu using but when i tries to copy a 700 MB data it says Size is only 18 MB free and required 700 MB. Can any one tellme what is the reason and how could i solve this. please.

Make disk bigger. 6GB is nothing now days.

By the way, you said that you had 2 GB free, but did you put /home in a different partition? If so, that partition could have been full while / still had almost 2 GB free...
