what do i put when it asks for password

i run the command outlined in the MacOS page for installing wine, and it does a bunch of stuff and then says:
Running installer for gstreamer-runtime with sudo; the password may be neces
am i supposed to put the password to my computer? when i do that it says:

(my name) is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported.
what am i supposed to put there/how do i fix this
