STALKER Anomaly encountered unexpected error.

Hey there!

I noticed that my stalker installation of starts up fine and I can get to the home screen.
But once I launch a save it crashes without any log and the wine debugger pop up.
I confirmed it works perfectly well in windows 10(latest about July 10th 2023). Confirmed by copying entire directory to windows hardware and running.
I ran $winetricks --selfupdate before installing prefixes.

Wine version: 8.12

Edit: Its been a few weeks of headscratching and ive updated to 8.13, tried staging as well and problem persists.

Update: On making a wineprefix vcruntime140 and running the game, it boots fine. But after I restart the system it breaks again. But this time the debugger also closes before I can do anything.

Could you try the game in a clean wineprefix with only d3dx11_43 and d3dcompiler_43 as winetricks?

I made a new prefix and did as above and it launched fine but, after a system reboot I again run into the unexpected error.
Its weird that it runs fine for the first time after making the prefix but as soon as I restart my pc it breaks.

EDIT: The error is flaky it occurs most of the time but every once in say 3-6 launches it gets into the game.

Update: wine 7.2 works and wine 8.x it seems to be broken

There are some versions between 7.2 and 8.0. If you are in the mood and have the time, can you find the latest working version of Wine?
If you have even more time, you can also do a regression test.
