Hello,
I'm having a problem with my stick (Saitek ST290 Pro) under wine on ubuntu -
Windows game doesn't respond at all to POV buttons. On Mandriva and debian
Lenny everything works - just ubuntu gives me trouble. jstest also responds
to the POV buttons. I tried playing with the DirectInput registry entry, but
didn't get anywhere. Any suggestions?
TIA

Use evdev interface instead of old joydev.
Make sure you have at least read access to /dev/input/event* device that correspond to your joystick.
