With Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and wine 7.6 (Staging),
when I run the new version of the Falcon BMS flight simulator, version 4.36,
With 4.36 and launched from a terminal, a splash screen is displayed, then wine repeats endlessly these two lines until finally memory overruns.

Others have observed the same behavior on manjaro and mint linux distros. One other user reports getting Falcon BMS 4.36 to run on Proton 7.0, with some occasional glitches relating to sound.
Any ideas about how to get BMS 4.36 running using wine?
