Aslain's for World of Warships

I play world of warships using steam.(Proton) I downloaded the aslain's modpack for it. When I run the exe with wine it checks for updates.(I am guessing it is looking for the game files) My install for the game is in my actual drive. I don't want to redownload steam and the game using wine. How can I make the app access the game?

Steam uses a custom Wineprefix for its games.
Also, Steam uses a modified Wine version. I don't know if switching between the two versions goes well, so I recommend to use Proton for the Steam Wineprefix. You can set the wineprefix and Proton manually.
