Not sure whether this is on-topic or not but thought I'd give it a go.
I'm using Zorin OS 12 Lite, a variation of Ubuntu Xenial Xerus, for reasons. (Would rather not get sidetracked onto why am I using this version). The WineHQ repository for Xenial doesn't have any Wine versions above 5.0.3 for Stable or 5.19 for Development, and when I tried to add the Bionic repository and install Wine 7 from that, it broke in an apparently complicated way and I ended up using Timeshift to put everything back how it was.
Oddly, I've used Wine 7 successfully in PlayOnLinux, on the same computer and in the same OS. But a game I'm trying to run (Star Trek Online) doesn't seem to play nicely with PlayOnLinux, in any version of Wine, so just using that won't make that work.
Is there a way to install Wine 7 on Xenial?
Thanks,
