Unable to print - Error 'StartPage Failed'

My first topic.

I am unable to print under Wine 1.1.12. I can see my printers, but I get a error 'StartPage Failed' when I try to print in Notepad.

Printing in Ubuntu Hardy is possible.

Any help would be welcome.

Yes, printing was never a problem, but I can't tell why printing isn't possible anymore.
Old or new version makes no difference. I just installed the latest version to be sure.

So if I understand correctly, printing in Wine suddenly stopped working even before you upgraded to 1.1.12?

Rename ~/.wine, then run wine notepad (a new ~/.wine will automatically be created) and try to print. If you can, then something you installed in the old wineprefix borked the settings.

Thanks for your reply.
Renamed .wine, started notepad, but same error (also with normal printers).

Seems like there is no connection with real printers (almost empty printer setup-settings, just papersize, etc.)

Removed wine totally, re-installed, same error.

I don't understand what you mean by "also with normal printers." Are you able to print from native Linux apps?

Yes, I am able to print from native Linux apps. It only doesn't work from within Wine.

With normal printers I mean my HP printer, wich is also visible in Wine.
I have got 2 printers in wine-notepad...HP and PDF.
