PureEdge Viewer and Wine

Post by Centurion030 »

I know it has been a while since the last thread for this.

I got my CAC Card working in Debian "etch" (Xandros OCE 4.5). I'd like to give running PureEdge Viewer a shot under Wine. I know where to get the latest version of Wine for etch.

My question is this: has anyone worked with PureEdge Viewer and the latest version of Wine? Also, anything about digitally signing the forms too?

Regards,

James

I try it from time to time. Looks like grants.gov is moving away
from that format and towards pdf.

Which version do you use?

http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... n&iId=2073
has some info.

Wine-1.1.12 has a bug that keeps it from installing here, btw.

Hi DanKegel!

My version of PureEdge Viewer is 6.5. I use it to digitially sign forms, OER's, from my raters.

Wine-I am looking at 1.1.11 under Debian "etch" (Xandros OCE 4.5)

Please reply directly to me on how you accomplished this. DO NOT REPLY
VIA THE FORUM as this will be non-Wine related. I have an official need
for this information.

Half-done:

I can use PureEdge 6.5 Viewer under Wine. Digitally signing may be a problem.

Stay tuned...

BTW, do you have any display problems with this program? Any problems
entering information into any of the fields on any of the forms? There
is an open bug report related to these problems. I would like to update
this report as several changes were made about two months ago that may
have fixed it.

I've installed PureEdge 6.5 on Wine version 1.1.14, running OpenSuSE 11.1:

When I open a blank form, the fields all have left/right arrows (with slider bar, if the field is wide enough). I'm unable to type in any data.

If I open a form that's already filled out, the arrows and sliders are there, but I can see what appears to be the top of the text data behind the arrows/sliders.

I'm specifically trying to use DA Forms 4507- and 7120- series.

This happens because a function contained in richedit is not implemented. Use Winetricks to install the native riched20 function and Pure Edge should work.
