I'm using a FHD laptop and a 4k external screen. On my old FHD laptop I've been running Ubuntu 16.04 Gnome w/o issues w/ Wine. Now I'm replacing the laptop with a new one, featuring a FHD screen again. I've switched my distro as well, now using Antergos w/ KDE.
Since setting up the the external 4k screen (needed to add the 4k resolution with xrandr) Wine apps are not recognising the mouse anylonger outside the top left quadrant (about or exactly 1920 x 1080px). The applications (like IrfanView) can still get operated via keyboard, but not via mouse. Once dragging the window into the top left quadrant (or disabling the external screen), the mouse is working fine again.
It seems to me as if this is an old problem, e. g. finding thie 2012 post: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/100 ... untu-11-10
Unfortunately, the solution offered at the bottom is not working for me:
Open winecfg
Check the Virtual Desktop checkbox and set the size to the largest resolution you are going to use
Start the app and check if it's working properly now (You can check that with the battlenet launcher

Start winecfg again and uncheck the Virtual Desktop box
At least it's giving some hint as IrfanView is working fine in a virtual screen sized 3840 x 2160. But as soon as I'm clearing the 'virtual desktop' checkbox the mouse is not recognised any longer outside the top left quadrant...
Any suggestions on how to track this issue down?
