Wine font problem after kernel and X upgrade - Archlinux

Post by sundayin »

Hello,
after kernel and X upgrade my wine makes a bug. The menu and dialogue texts are strangely smudged and unreadable. The problem is in all applications under wine and in wine itself.

I've tried recreate /.wine, reinstall wine and all applications, but it doesn't work for me ...

Please help.

Does it look like this? http://launchpadlibrarian.net/19841385/ ... 0Issue.png

If so, that's http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16146

There's a workaround mentioned in the bug report that you could try.

If that is your problem, please add a comment to the bug report noting that it also affects your distro--up to now the problem has only been reported for Ubuntu 8.10.

Yes, that is the bug. I'm going to add my description to the bug report you have mentioned. Thanx.
