Where to install DirectX 9.0c Nov,2008?

I DLed DirectX 9.0C redistributable and ran it with Wine. I didn't know it would want to know the directory to install to. Its obviously going to be in Wine's drive_c folder, but beyond that I have no idea. I was having some trouble with Winetricks installer so i thought manually would be easier.

Anyone know where to install these files?

You don't need to install DirectX - nor you should try. DirectX is already

included in wine and instaling Windows DirectX may lead to problems.

Nowhere. Wine has it's own DX implementation, and with exception of few filed Wine can't use native DX.

The install location it asked for is actually just the temporary location to extract the setup files to. The actual dx installation must still be run after that and will automatically determine where the files go.
