(This my first post here, so please be lenient with me.)
Chapter 10.6.2 of the FAQ needs to be adjusted. The package lib32nss-mdns doesn't exist anymore, but if i386 architecture is enabled, libnss-mdns:i386 can be installed. Which solved my networking problems while installing the battle.net app.
