Morning all I am a wine newbie, and while I am used to using linux and have been for some time, my current position requires me to run a windows tool for a training class. Unfortunately its not a 64bit application and when tried to get it to work with wine 1.8.1 all I get is errors, and POL error, I even attempted to install playonlinux per one forum which still didn't help.
If anyone could help I would appreciate it or if there is a work around that can be used I would like to know if anyone knows that fix. I tried to compile it myself by installing all the 32 bit components, and following the scientific linux forums but that didn't work either.
will verison 1.9.x fix this issue or do I have to wait for some other component.
thank you

Re: 32bit applications on wine 1.8.1 scientific linux 7.2
The lack of support for 32 bit apps in Scientific Linux (and CentOS and RHEL) was a distro decision, not a Wine bug. There's nothing anyone here can do about it. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=23434
There are many other distros to choose from.

You might also be able to run your 32-bit Wine application in a Linux Container ( see LXC ).
