usb key authorisation

Hi folks

Have used wine to create a couple of programs which have worked well.
Have recently tried a program that requires authorisation with usb dongle and the program keeps coming up with a message saying dongle not found....
I'm an idiot when it comes to this by the way so any simple explanations would be great.

Wine doesn't support USB dongles.
