Lightning Returns on Steam crashing

Hi guys,

I'm managing to launch Lightning Returns successfully but the game crashes on the first loading screen after the opening cutscene. Does anyone know what could cause this and if there's any way around it to make it work? I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not. It's a great game and it's a real shame if I can't play it on my Mac.

On another note, upon Steam launch I get 'steamwebhelper.exe' has crashed. Could this relate?
