problem that I hope can be rectified a future build

Post by ch23erk »

I have come across a problem that I hope can be rectified in future builds

When I uninstall Evernote and then try to install it it says there is a copy already installed so it will not install

I have tried deleting all the references to Evernote - files - registry entries with no success

Uninstalling Wine and then installing - no success

Finally I deleted the ".Wine" file in my Home/Colin folder - Success !

Is it possible to make the the uninstall procedure ask if we want to remove or keep the user files so that we can have a total removal of all files .

In the past I have had problems with Programs that do not leave the computer free of all the files
they install. These can be difficult to trace, as well as using space on a HDD that cannot be reclaimed
