windows software Cutlist Plus on wine 1.7.44

Hi,

Kindly assist with an application from Bridgewood Design. i installed a software called cut list plus on wine 1.7.44. The software installed perfectly, but not showing in my list of program.

When i browse c. Drive, i cant see the Bridgewood design on my programs files but no icons or in the list of programs installed, in order to run a software

Please kindly assist

I tested the Cutlist Plus fx trial version in 1.7.48. It needs winetricks vcrun2010 installed before installing the app, so if you didn't do that, you will have to start over with a clean wineprefix. Look for the installed executable in the wineprefix's /drive_c/Program Files/Bridgewood Design/CutList Plus directory.

just checked winetricks, are you suggesting that i install vc2010Express. And after looking for installed executable in the wineprefix's /drive_c/Program Files/Bridgewood Design/CutList Plus directory, do i delete the folder.

So sorry am new to this need so support

No, install winetricks vcrun2010. But first you need to create a clean wineprefix. If you have nothing else installed in ~/.wine that you want to keep, just delete it and run

WINEARCH=win32 winecfg

to recreate it as a 32 bit wineprefix. Then install winetricks vcrun2010, and after that, install Cutlist Plus. Winemenubuilder should create menu entries for it, but if it doesn't, you can create one yourself using whatever menu editor your desktop environment provides. The installed executable should located in ~//drive_c/Program Files/Bridgewood Design/CutList Plus.

I tested the cutlist plus fx on my system it worked, but the version that i have is the 2005 version. its just cutlist plus.

I also created a new wineprefix and ran vcrun2005 then installed the cutlist plus, it did work, don't know why
