Hi, some months back I tried to install Wine in Ubuntu 14.04 and it got to the msoft-font-set agreement up page where it had an "OK" at the bottom. I clicked it and nothing happened. I can use the arrow keys to scroll up and down, even scrolled to the bottom of the text in case they only activated the "OK" there. Nothing.
Today, brand new download and install of Ubuntu and tried again with Wine as per the instructions on the HQ page for installing in Ubuntu. Still balked at the OK for the fonts agreement.
Help!! I really want to use to use Ubuntu bit I have some custom software that will only run in Windows. I need to see if it will run in Wine.
How can I get around this? I finally closed the Terminal down so Wine install never got completed and thus is not shown in the Installed Software or Search.
Thanks
Ubuntu Install fails - twice
Re: Ubuntu Install fails - twice
The MS fonts are not part of Wine, nor are they a dependency, and there is no agreement to click when installing a Wine package. It sounds like the Ubuntu Wine package was designed to pull in the msttcorefonts package, which does have a EULA. The problems you are having installing that package have nothing to do with Wine. Contact the msttcorefonts package maintainer.
