First - I'm not from a english speaking country so please be kind, my english may be a little bit "broken" at some spots.
My problem is that Origin doesn't download The Sims 4 complete. The process always stops after some GB at 84% because Origin supposedly lost it's connection to the Internet (0 kb/s). If I pause the task and start it again after some time, Origin seems to find the connection but then the kb/s drop every second till they get to the point where I "started".
I have the newest Origin-Client, so the possibility to patch a .dll in the installation folder do not work for me (I tested it and the terminal said to me, that there's an error or something). I also read, that Wine itself patched something so you haven't to patch Origin anymore but I have that problem though...
I thought about deinstalling Origin from Wine, installing it again (without network connection), putting in some older Origin files (like in the instructions at WineHQ described) and then patching the .dll.
But I also think that wouldn't last a long time because sometime EA would force me to update their client.
And this problem affect every Game, DLC and everything else... :/
At first I tried to install it from the DVD, that worked but Origin couldn't read the second DVD and stopped the process.
I just want to play The Sims 4, so a option JUST for the Sims 4 would work well for me.
Maybe somebody know how I get Origin to read the second DVD? :/
Have a nice weekend, guys.
