I am running Mint 17.2 32-bit Linux on an Acer Aspire One netbook.
I downloaded the FreeCell Pro 6.5 solitaire game from the link on this page:
http://www.solitairelaboratory.com/fcpro.html
The download was a *.zip archive and the program is a stand alone application that runs under Windows. The archive contains a stand alone *.exe file, one *.dll file, and six text files.
FreeCell Pro does not have a setup.exe file and it does not install itself under Windows. It is simply placed in a folder and the FcPro26.exe file is run (normally from a desktop shortcut or by it being added to the Windows start menu) to play the game.
I created a folder for it on the wine "drive" and extracted all of the files from the archive to there:
/home/user/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/FreeCell Pro/FcPro26.exe
If I right click the FcPro26.exe file and choose Open With... > Wine Windows Program Loader the program runs fine and I can play solitaire and use all the normal functions and options. If anyone tried the program, the first time it is start the card size needs to be reset by clicking on the Window > Cards > Reset buttons (there are two buttons) before you can see the cards. After that the card sizes can be adjusted to suit your preferences if want.
But I cannot find any references to the program on the Mint Menu system and if I use the Applications Search box it is not found either. It is not listed under the Wine submenu as is the other application I have running under Wine.
I have googled this and not found a solution for getting FreeCell added to a menu or a launcher for it added to the Desktop. When I right click on the desktop and choose Create a New Launcher here... I get the Launcher Properties menu and can lead that to the FcPro26.exe file but am not able to get an OK button to complete the process. The OK button remains ghosted out.
I think this problem may relate to the fact that this is a stand alone Windows app that does not have setup.exe file and that does not install itself normally.
Thanks for any help!

Wine Install Works - No Launcher Can be found?
Re: Wine Install Works - No Launcher Can be found?
That's correct. Winemenubuilder can only create menu entries and desktop links for apps that have installers that create those things in Windows.jackerbes wrote: I think this problem may relate to the fact that this is a stand alone Windows app that does not have setup.exe file and that does not install itself normally.
You will have to create them yourself using whatever tools your desktop environment provides. Ask for help on the Mint forum; it's not really a Wine question.
Re: [Solved] Wine Install Works - No Launcher Can be found?
Thanks for the reply and I will do that.
