Terraria doesn't work?

Post by DemonLordx64 »

So, Terraria works on Wine, and I'll open Windows Steam and play Terraria, so everything up to that is fine and works, btu whan it glitches is when I click the "[PLAY]" button. It will say "Preparing to lauch Terraria..." then do nothing. It'll tell my friends I'm playing it, but it won't actually open. I'll try playing it again, but then it just says "ERROR: App already running." Can someone help? I have Linux Mint 64-bit.

Wine version? Did you follow the instructions in the AppDB? https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager. ... &iId=30494

Alright, now I have another problem. When I'm playing multiplayer, joining works fine, but when I host, it errors. Something like "terrariaserver.exe stopped working" i think. Either that or it couldn't be found.

Btw I have Wine 1.6.2. I don't have this multiplayer bug often, just sometimes and it's really annoying.

Your Wine version is two years old, so you should upgrade. The most recent test report in the AppDB mentions something that appears to be a workaround for the server problem using a mod, but that test is for current Wine. https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager. ... &iId=32383
