I've been running Fedora 20 for quite a long time but recently I discovered that any of the Windows game was denying to run on my PC.I installed Counterstrike 1.6 Adrenaline on my system and when I run the exe file, the black screen pops up and then shuts down the game. Also I installed the correct wine version, still the same.I switched to Nvidia drivers to see if it might solve the problem but then again I faced the same issue. Please help me out of this.

Regarding a game on Fedora 20
Re: Regarding a game on Fedora 20
Fedora's Wine packages are built from wine-staging, which contains over 600 unsupported patches. If you are using the Fedora Wine package, you need to retest in plain Wine, which you will have to build yourself.

Re: Regarding a game on Fedora 20
So which wine version I have to build? The compatible one?
Re: Regarding a game on Fedora 20
Generally you want to try the latest development release. However, in the case of 1.7.47 there is a regression that potentially will affect many apps, so if you build that version, either use the patch in https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38895, which fixes it, or revert the offending commit.
But before you go to the trouble of building plain Wine, if you haven't tried simply reinstalling your game to a clean wineprefix, you should.
