uninstall on upgrade question

Hi All,

I am keeping my tar ball create 1.7.30 directory around in case I have to run a "make uninstall".

When 1.7.31 hits, do I need to go into 1.7.30 and do a "make uninstall" before I go into 1.7.31 and do the final "make install"?

And, how about when 1.8.0 hits?
