How to downgrade to 1.7.24

Can anyone give me instructions on how to downgrade wine to 1.7.24? I've tried to install the .deb packages from the archive but it wont get past the unmet dependancies. I tried the install -f but it just keep removing wine1.7 lol All the suggestions google gives me dont seem to work for me! What am i missing?

Ask your distro; that's a packaging/package manager issue, not a Wine issue.
