Running SIL Flex FieldWorks in Wine

I have Wine 1.6.2 on a Mac running Mountain Lion 10.8.5. I'm trying to trying to install SIL Flex FieldWorks (http://fieldworks.sil.org/flex/) using Wine.

If I change the Windows Version in winecfg to Windows 7 or Windows 8, I can run the .exe installer. But the installation fails prematurely, with the following log:

I've tried deleting the wine prefix and starting afresh, but I still get the same error message.

If possible, I would really love to get Flex working under Wine. Any help would be massively appreciated.
