Hi,
I'm using Mint 17 (Mate). The Hardware is not up to date but good enough (i5-520 / 8gig ram / SSD).
Currently I am doing a course in AutoCAD.
Included in the course is a 3 year Student License of AutoCAD 2015 for home / private usage.
The only Windows License I have avaible is Windows XP but it is not supported by the 2015 version of AutoCAD so there is no use for something like a virtual machine.
I could use an older Version but the interface lacks some things that make live easy. Also I never worked with AutoCAD before so I do not want to get confused by using differing versions (I have to do an exam to get a certificate).
So I tried wine with no luck.
The installer does not find some files so it breaks.
I tried to edit the respective ini files by given absolut path to the files but this did not help.
Some help from google pointed me in the direction of the Netframework and that there is something missing but this was not the case.
The 2015 Version is not listed at https://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?appId=86
Did anyone try this too with some luck?
Is it possible to do this or am I wasting my time by trying (and mybe bracking wine in the process)?
Thx!
Autocad 2015
Re: Autocad 2015
You are wasting your time. No recent version of Autocad will install due to https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12532.
