Anno 1404 black screen

Hi,

I'm trying out Wine for the first time, so please forgive any dumb questions!

I'm running Ubuntu 14.04. Wine 1.6.2 (from Software Centre). Dell Latitude E6530 (Intel onboard graphics) laptop.

I'm trying to install Anno 1404. Installation is fine, and the game starts, but all I can see is a black screen. I hear the audio, and if by chance I click on the correct area the game also progresses. I have changed the Engine.ini file, and have tried to change Registry entries (as per some other posts), but the registry entries mentioned do not exist on my machine.

I've been able to run the game on Windows 7 in a Virtualbox instance.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
