Guild wars 2 launcher slows my computer

So this is my first time using wine so i followed this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZQHO7IbvOA did everything how he said, but when it still on the launcher downloading the game my computer starts to get slow badly, i didn't finish downloading yet but is this suppose to happen? Makes me think if the launcher lag like that imagine playing the game, i saw other people videos playing on linux smoothly, so is that what should happen when using the launcher, or should i do anything else?
